Join us in spreading the "Good News"

Since 2009 we have established these educational, charitable, fellowship and good will ministries:

  • Mary's Closet--Our largest social outreach which provides free gently-used clothing to those in need.  It is open to the public every Saturday, as well as providing for special needs families who have experienced setbacks, such as, fire, flood, homelessness, or simply those who have fallen on hard times. We assist families through Social Services, Hope Springs and the Red Cross.
  •  Breakfast & God's Learning Hour-- the children’s Sunday school has tripled in attendance with the breakfast program. Hot breakfast and a lively Sunday school feeds and teaches 15+ children each week.
  • Family Game Night--a monthly family gathering that includes dinner, bingo, card playing and other games.
  • Men's Breakfast & Fellowship--a monthly event with more than 20 men and boys in attendance.
  • Women's Prayer Breakfast--a quarterly ecumenical meeting featuring guest speakers who address different spiritual topics and themes.
  • Narcotics Anonymous--we provide a meeting place for two support groups that meet three times a week.
  • Bible Study--a study group that meets each Wednesday.
  • Fitness Class--a twice weekly fitness class with a professional trainer.
  • Computer Class--our computer lab has 10 computers and a certified instructor who teaches employable skills and beginner techniques to first time users and seniors.
  • Book Bag Giveaway--a program that provides community children and a designated elementary school in Baltimore City with book bags loaded with school supplies to start the year off equipped and ready to go. We strive to collect 100 book-bags.
  • Christmas Basket & Toy Ministry--we are the lead church for an annual operation that provides more than 50 families with food (a turkey and all the holiday trimmings plus extras for the next day) and at least three toys each for over 100 children (other churches assist us with the toy portion).
  • Youth Ministry--programs created for children in our church and community to enjoy fun activities and trips that normally aren’t available to them.
  • Community Fair--an annual event that provides music, a flea market, health information, food, games, and fun for children and adults. Everything but the food and flea market table space is free.
  • Rebuild Restore (formerly Capital Campaign)--originally was established to save funds for our failing heating system and to do improvements on the building. Since the fire this fund has been shifted to the rebuild or debt reduction.

More ministries to come.......
